Saxophone Search helps you find your next saxophone. Describe what you're after in plain language and it finds the models that fit — by voice, era, level, finish, body material and price.

It covers new horns and vintage ones side by side, from student altos to the classic professional tenors, and out to the rarities: sopranino, bass, contrabass and C-melody.

What's in the database

The catalog holds 187 models from 10 makers — 136 current and 51 vintage, spanning all 11 voices. 65 of them carry a price; the rest are left blank rather than guessed. Specs come from the maker where one publishes them, and from specialist dealers and archives for vintage horns that no manufacturer supports any more.

How prices work

Prices are in USD. Where a maker publishes a price, that's what you see. Where they don't, it's a current dealer street price, noted as such. Vintage horns have no list price at all, so those figures are current asking prices from specialist shops, recorded with the date — they move. Anything unknown is left blank rather than guessed.
